CO Surgeries, Med, etc

On November 8, 2012 at roughly 5:15pm, I was sitting at a stand still in traffic on C-470 in Denver when a 20 year old, who never bothered braking, rear-ended me at over 70mph totaling my F150 SuperCrew slamming me and my truck against the concrete median 3 times before coming to a halt against the concrete median wall. He walked away with a bruise; I hobbled away on crutches and my life turned upside down - physically, emotionally and mentally.

For the past 27 months, I have had non-stop, 24/7 chronic severe headaches (not migraines but pain that ranges from 8-10 out of 10 on the pain scale with 10 being ER level) that affect my mental capacity such as concentration, analytical thinking, short-term memory; my phsycial well-being such as sleeping, dizziness, drowsiness; and emotionally (lack of patience, irritability, nervousness, etc), I have used and been through countless physical therapy appointments, massage therapy, trigger point dry needling, neurology, pain management, chiropractic & spine appointments, medications, occipital nerve blocks, several injections and 3 outpatient surgeries.

In December 2014, I was diagnosed with Traumatic Cervical Dystonia - there is no cure, but my medical team is hoping they can find a way to get rid of my headaches. I have my 4th surgery next week on March 4, 2015.

It pains me to ask for help now especially since I've made it through other tragedies such as losing my 3 yo daughter in 2007  to congenital muscular dystrophy with no help. I suppose it's an accomplishment to have made it 27 months with no assistance but now I hope I can get help when I actually need it.

Other ways I've reduced my bills the past 27 months:
-I only eat 1-2 meals per day to reduce my grocery bill
-I got a roommate to reduce my rent
-I never go anywhere on the weekends & if I do go out, it's because I have a gift card someone gave me
-Non-smoker (never have been)
-I don't drink or party (never have been)
-I work from home when I can to save on gas to work (and because of how the medications affect me)
-I only see In-Network providers to reduce out of pocket costs
-I cut off my cable

All funds received will go directly to my medical co-pays, travel and expenses. I've already used over 175 hours of FMLA (unpaid time off) and have had to tap into my savings for that as well. ANY donation whether $5 or $1,000 will be of assistance. May God Bless You.
