A nature playground for Wembley Downs

We are building something truly wonderful and are asking for your help.
 
The Wembley Down’s Primary School and the Wembley Downs community is full of spirit but it needs somewhere for all that heart to call home. Our kids look after each other, laugh together, run together, build lives together.  They deserve something special.  
 
Currently they have a couple of small metal frame old style playground areas. They are not the best anymore and they are not enough for our growing school of 420 children and the wider community.
 
We have plans for a beautiful Naturescape playground to be built by one of the lead designers of nature playgrounds in Perth. It is full of natural materials, texture, variety, height to explore and challenges to take on.  It is unique and designed for us.  It will change our school and also change the way the whole community uses our oval.
 
It will be for everyone. A place for all, the young and the young at heart. A place to bring us all together.

We have fundraised hard over the years and we have $50 000 in P&C funds ready to go to this project.  Another $40 000 will get us the whole package including mature trees and plantings. This project is booked commence in November 2019 if we can reach this target (which we know we can!). This is where you come in……
 
Let’s get together, hand in hand, and fund this. Then once it is done, let’s get together and let them play.  If every family from our school donated an average of $100 we can do this. If the wider community also donated…then the sky is the limit!
 
Some people are able to do more and some less.  Whether it’s $25 or $250 we will love you for it, and you will be making a genuine difference. And don’t worry – if we raise more then we have plenty of other awesome projects planned!
 
We all spend money on things that entertain our kids… this is something that can give again and again… every day of the year.
 
Life gets its meaning from being part of things bigger than ourselves. From belonging and having a sense of purpose.  Let’s show our kids that we live by this.
