Philipp Sweeney was a young actor at the start of his career and at the start of his life. Philipp attended Huntington Middle School and started acting soon after entering High School. He was on shows like "Mad Men" and a part of "Central Casting."
His life was taken in a tragic car accident at the young age of 24. He will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Sweeney family.
Friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors would like to raise money for funeral costs and to help out the family with whatever we can. Please donate to this site. All proceeds will go directly to the Sweeneys to be used as needed.
One of his teachers quoted "I too have fond memories of Philipp. When our daughter was in 1st grade, Philipp was in my 6th period class. Since her school ended at 2:30, Philipp, would walk over to the bridge between Valentine and Huntington and walk her over. He was happy to help out and was always so kind with a positive attitude. Our daughter loved all the Disney princesses and Sleeping Beauty's Prince was named Prince Philipp. Hence, we called him "Prince Philip".
Memories of Philipp come to my mind often because of something he once said to me and left an impression. At the end of class (at the end of the day), he would call his mom from my room to check in with her or touch base as to what he was going to do. He always sincerely said at the end of each phone conversation, "I love you Mom." I commented to him, how I thought that was so sweet, and his response was, "You never know if it's going to be the last time you talk to that person, so I want to make sure I tell her that I love her". That was Philipp's spirit. He was always thoughtful, caring and sincere. I've thought many times of his statement and tried to follow his advice over the years. He will be very missed and leaves me sweet memories as he touched my heart dearly."
