Many of you may know my story but for those who don't here goes. My name is Danielle I am 34 years old and have battled with my weight ever since I was a child. And by the age of 16 I was a solid 260lbs. I had been to specialist after specialist to find out the reason for my size, being I was active and ate rather healthy there was no reason for the size I was. The doctors had placed me on all kinds of weight loss programs/diets/pills etc. and nothing seemed to help. I reached my maximum weight of 412lbs shortly after returning from my mission trip to Thailand. My body could no longer handle the weight and my heart was shutting down. Once again I found myself going to see a specialist who recommended the Gastric Bypass. I opted to have the Roux-En-Y- Gastric Bypass.  Since then I have had many surgeries to help with mobility yet there is still a struggle in daily movement. As of now my current weight is 242lbs. I had an MRI taken of my lateral thighs and what the doctors thought were masses are actually solid fat pockets which can’t break down. After seeing three different specialists, all recommended that the pockets be removed so that I could walk pain free. Medical Insurance does not cover this needed procedure so I am asking for your help to partner with me.
I am moving forward in faith and I have scheduled surgery for April 1st 2015. Your help will not only change my daily mobility but will help give me a greater ability to do what God has called me to do: serve overseas and share His love everywhere.
