Dean and Linda's Care Fund
Donation protected
Dean and Linda are two of the most loving, kind, and generous people and they are in need of our help.
Dean and Linda were both involved in activities for family and local children. They always wanted there to be good, clean, fun things to do to keep them from looking for trouble. Dean was involved in cub scouts and then boy scouts, and Linda was involved in 4-H. They each coached baseball and softball teams when we played.
They have ben self-employed for the last 50 years and after closing their restaurant, they have been vendors at craft shows for the last 20. They love people and if anyone ever needed help, they were there.
In their many years in Rankin, TX, he would go help people move, even helping pastors of other churches move because their own members wouldn't come help.
Being such a small town, there is no funeral home and in turn no grief management readily available. Dean and other men in town would take turns sitting at the church all night.
6 months ago, Dean was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Myasthenia gravis is a chronic condition that causes muscles to tire and weaken easily. It causes difficulty swallowing, shortness of breath, fatigue, double vision, or impaired voice.
Dean had never been a patient in a hospital until February 2015, he was eve born at home. His disease progressed rapidly and they knew they needed to seek medical attention. Everyone in the hospital has talked about what a sweet person he is and what a cheerful patient he has been. This process has been a roller coaster of treatment, and there is no way to know where it will take the family next.
With little to no insurance coverage, and their income on hold due to treatments, family and friends would like to extend this avenue for financial assistance to those of you who feel led to give. Please continue to pray for Dean’s health and God bless you.
