Josh's House Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 9:30pm my brother, Josh Brackett, lost his home and all his possessions in a house fire. The fire, which originated behind his refrigerator, quickly engulfed his house in flames while he was in it. Josh tried to fight the fire, but it was far too late. Nothing could be done to save the house. Through the grace of God both Josh and his dog Champ made it out alive with only minor injuries, but his home is completely gone.

The fire left Josh with nothing except the clothes on his back. His new jeep that was parked in the garage was damaged, his cell phone gone, laptop gone, dj equipment gone, everything... gone. As a result, an enormous amount of expenses are headed Josh’s way as he searches for a new dwelling and replaces his lost necessities. We wish we could just make the problem go away, but honestly that’s impossible. Josh is facing a financial and emotional burden that very few of us can even begin to understand. Josh’s home insurance will take care of paying the bank for his home loan and providing funds to replace whatever they appraise the value his lost possessions are worth.  However, because of depreciation it is rare that a person comes out ahead financially after an event like this. For instance, Josh’s home appliances were several years old. Insurance is paying him the value of his appliances at the time they were destroyed, not how much it’s going to cost him to replace them with new appliances. Our goal is to narrow that financial gap for him. Please send Josh encouragement and give donations as you feel led. Join us in blessing Josh as he begins rebuilding his life.

We will trust in "Him" to bring beauty out of the ashes and have already experienced blessings in the midst of this loss.

Thank you for your help!
