Helping the helper

Everyone in Orwell has seen Jennifer (Ratkovich) Howerton's smiling face behind the counter of VT or Mr Hero (or previously at the pharmacy or other restaurants).  Always friendly, Jen has experienced a tragedy in the unexpected loss of her husband Paul.  Jen is always helping others by volunteering her time as well as making hundreds of Christmas stockings for those in need because "everyone deserves something for Christmas".  Now it is Jen's turn to be in need and she needs our support.  With their middle school daughter still at home, Jen will be in need of any help others are able to provide.

Her coworkers are also arranging a September spaghetti dinner and chinese auction.  Please watch for details.  Thank you in advance.  We know Jen and her daughter will be very grateful for the support during this difficult time.
