On Novermber 2nd our beloved brother and friend Jason Coppedge was tragiclly taken from us while on vacation with his family near Washington, D.C.
Jason was only 38 years old. He leaves behind his wife and two childern.
As a thirteen year veteran of the South Merto Fire Department, Jason was commited to protecting the lives and property of strangers, knowing he risked it all everytime he rolled out those doors. Jason loved his job.
However, the love of the job paled in comparison to the love he had for his family. Jason was a devoted father and husband. From leading his daughter's Girl's Scout troop, to being active in his son's Boy Scout troop. Jason took total enjoyment in every minute he spent with his family.
It's for these, and countless other reasons, we in the Local 3112 want to help ease the financial burden that goes hand-in-hand with losing someone so suddenly. This memorial fund will help with any funeral expences and hopefully provide a small nest egg for the future of the Coppedge family. Any doantion, no matter how small, will be appreciated more then I can convey here.
We're broken, but we still answer the calls. Just like you would do brother. You rest now and let someone else drive. You ride in our hearts.

The funds will be used as the Coppedge’s see
fit to use it. Food, funeral expenses, bills,
ect.
The funds will be put into my personal account. From there I will havea cashiers check issued in Shana’s name and give it to IAFF local 3112 Vice President who (or the President) will personally give it to Shana (Jason’s wife)
