Let's get Kevin home

Kevin sustained a serious spinal injury on 6th December 2014, falling down stairs at home, breaking his neck. He fractured C6/C7 & dislocated C6, causing complete injury to his spinal cord. Kevin was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Spinal Unit, Glasgow the following day and is expected to be there for some months. He has paralysis of both hands and paralysis from the chest down. Kevin underwent 3 spinal operations and a tracheotomy, he was seriously unwell and ventilated for several weeks. He is making progress and trying hard with his rehabilitation.

Our aim, is to have Kevin home when well enough. The hospital state, it's best Kevin returns to his own home if possible, moving house could be traumatic. Kevin would be dealing with his new disability, in a new house, strange environment, with neighbours he doesn't know.

The aim of fundraising, is to purchase a through floor lift, giving Kevin access to upstairs/downstairs at home, creating a normal living environment. He is too young for a downstairs bedroom. The cost is approx £10,000. Kevin is a brilliant person, father, husband and friend, as you will all know, who really needs your support. Any donations/input/ideas will be welcomed, many thanks.

We have also organised a fundraising race night which will be held on the 27th of June 2015 at the park stone hotel in prestwick from 7pm tickets will be on sale soon for this, any donations of raffle prizes would be grately appreciated, Thanks again for all your kind words and donations xx
