CANCER SUCKS, and so do the costs of treating it and beating it. The costs are both economic and emotional to the victim, their family, and friends.
I LOVE MY SISTER! Myra and I have always been like 2 peas in a pod, sharing the joys and disappointments in life and always supporting each other through good times and bad. But this time we need help. YOUR help.
MYRA’S MASTECTOMY and her on-going treatment could ruin her financially. She is a retired mail carrier who served her rural community for decades, but was no longer able to work after suffering an injury. She is still paying for treatments related to that injury and must now begin her battle against breast cancer.
THE NEED FOR FUNDS IS URGENT. Myra’s double mastectomy is scheduled for August 20, 2018 and she will need 24 hour assistance during her first few weeks of recovery and on-going periodic assistance as she endures the chemo and radiation treatments that will follow. She will also have travel costs because the surgery and treatments will be in a city far from the small town where she lives. And, as we all know, insurance doen’t cover everything. Her out-of-pocket expenses could be astronomical.
