Mylene fighting against cancer

You’ll never know how it feels until it happens to you! I don’t know how many times I’ve heard this but my family and I are still in disbelief after being told last July 27, 2017 that my beautiful wife of 3 years, Mylene, has an aggressive type of breast cancer on both breasts. If feels like a roller coaster ride!!!

 

Just 2 weeks after being diagnosed, she has to undergo an echocardiography, bone scan, CT scan and a genetic test. These tests will determine how far the cancer has spread. Her treatment will begin with chemotherapy and will go on for 4 months with sessions every 2 weeks. We are staying positive and hoping that the chemo will shrink the cancer enough so we can move forward with the mastectomy and then eventually radiation.

As you can imagine, all of these medical procedures and surgery will take a financial toll. Mylene is a homemaker and takes care of our 1.5 year old daughter Micah, and her four-legged best friend, Yankee. I work full time and the sole breadwinner and caregiver.

While we battle cancer, we also need help with childcare expenses. Her doctors advised against day care as Mylene’s resistance levels will be down during treatment. Her family is in the Philippines and my family live too far away to help with frequent medical appointments.

We humbly ask for any help you can provide to assist with the medical or childcare costs. We will continue to posts updates here as we hear from Mylene’s team of doctors.

Mylene is keeping positive and only fervently prays for one thing… that she wins this battle and sees our daughter grow up. That is her driving force. WE WILL KICK CANCER IN THE BUTT!!!
