Mycayla’s Service Dog/Training

Mycayla is 20 years old, she began having seizures at 3 months old.  After lots of testing and several hospital stays she was diagnosed with a condition called Polymicogyria. Seizures are a  symptom of this condition, she will always have them as there is no cure for Polymicrogyria. At the age of 12 she received a VNS implant to help get better control of the seizures. This has helped greatly keeping the seizures at a minimum but she still has breakthrough seizures. She has at least one seizure a day.  Due to the seizures Mycayla can’t drive.  So for her gain more protection and independence a seizure service dog is her next step. Her dog will be trained to assist her in many tasks including scent  training. The dog and its  training are very costly,  more  than  we  expected. So your donation will help  Mycayla  come  closer  to  getting  her  service  dog ,  and  all  donations  are very much appreciated.
