My Big Move to the Philippines

Dearest family, friends and community,

I hope this message finds all of you well.

I am making one of the biggest moves of my life in less than 3 weeks. I am making a permanent move to the Philippines to volunteer and teach at indigenous schools and communities in southern Mindanao.

I have decided to follow my heart and passion to serve those most in need through education and it has lead me full circle to the indigenous communities of my motherland.

I know this journey will be full of struggle, joy and will lack resources. I will be living simply and will have to make great sacrifices. I am grounded in hope and ready for growth.

I am trying to raise funds to help support my basic needs such as food, transportation and health needs to help sustain my volunteer work for the first year.

By investing in my fundraising campaign, you are not only supporting me, you are investing in the educational work and community programs that I will help build and sustain in colloboration with the respective indigenous communities I will serve this year.
