Myanmar Approach

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"  - Romans 10:15 (ESV)

Meet Johnny .  He's my friend and fellow volunteer at YWAM Baguio .  A happily married man with four adorable children, Johnny's heart is to share God's love with the poor and needy, locally as well as cross-culturally. 

Interestingly enough, that's my heart as well.  We're like-minded in wanting to reach out to those in Myanmar (also known as Burma).  The population is 87.9% Buddhist, and the 6.2% that are Christian have been severely persecuted over the years - especially the Karen group (not to be confused with my wife, Karen).

This November, Johnny and I will journey to Burma, meet up with two others from another YWAM base (sensitive location), pass out NT Bibles and host Bible studies.  (Sadly, the OT is not yet translated into their native language -- YET !).  The cost for Johnny and I to participate in this 2-week opportunity is an amazingly low price, considering the fact that it covers all of our meals, accommodations, transportation and ground fees: USD4,000. 

Our aim is to encourage and further equip the Church; to provide primary healthcare and training if/when necessary; and to raise up Johnny as a leader for future international teams.

We ask that you please pray: for Johnny; for our team of four; and for our journey.

We also ask that you please send us so that the people of Myanmar will hear the good news of Jesus Christ's salvation through our testimonies and actions while we're there.
