My WPW Awareness Trip

The first time I led the warmup for the World Partnership Walk, it was with my record player and my 45s. Now all of these years later, not only has my sound equipment changed, but my world perspective has shifted as well.
You and I have raised a great deal of money over the years to support many incredible initiatives in Africa, India and Asia.
This WPW awareness trip will allow me to witness first-hand how every dollar you have ever donated to the WPW has been used to help families and communities lift themselves out of poverty through holistic interventions that include health, education, economic development and civil society development programs.
This work has transformed the quality of life for millions of people around the world, and you have played an important part in this service to humanity.
It is an honor to be selected for this transformational opportunity. I look forward to sharing my stories with you while I am in Africa, and hope you will contribute to my travel fund.

Unless these unfortunates can be touched with the spark which ignites the spirit of individual enterprise and determination, they will only sink back into renewed apathy, degradation and despair. It is for us, who are more fortunate, to provide that spark.”

Costs will include airfare from Victoria to Nairobi and back, accommodations, food, intra-country flights (Nairobi-Mombasa), and medical expenses: T(dap) vaccine for Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis, Hep A vaccine, Typhoid Fever vaccine, Yellow Fever vaccine, Dukoral, anti-malaria meds, and antibiotics. :)
Any excess funds raised will be added to our fundraising efforts for next year.
