Cancer Treatment for My Wife

Donation protected
My wife Deborah is a breast cancer survivor since 2013.  At that time we had our oldest son who is now 7.  She had a bilateral masectomy for in situ breast cancer at 43 years of age.  We went straight at the disease and she was so strong and courageous!  She was given a <0.05 % chance of breast cancer coming back.  The next year we were graced we the news that we were expecting another child!  Two boys!  Every year since we have participated in our local Breast Cancer Walk and my wife who is a minister has thrived!

Two months ago she began have chest pain, back pain and shoulder pain.  After many trips to the doctor and the emergency room, PET scans, bone scans, heart test, biopsies the doctors found a lesion on her left first rib.  After the biopsy, it was found to be cancer.  They think it is a not a recurrence of her breast cancer but instead it is a new cancer.  They are currently trying to find out the source.  She has to have surgery to remove her rib and then radiation.  We are consulting PSU and Memorial Sloan Kettering.  At this point it is believed to be metastatic.  Your contributions will help pay for out of pocket radiation expenses and chemo and well as other treatment modalities that are out of pocket for her to receive treatment and assist in helping to find the source of the cancer and help me and my boys (ages 7 and 2) keep her with us.  This cancer sounds like a long term and I am not sure if it is curative.  My children are so little and I like you want to have their mother well and with us.
