My Vision Trip to Guatemala

One of the global challenges that resonate with me has been the problem of modern-day slavery, including sex trafficking. Because of this, I have followed and supported the work of International Justice Mission (IJM) in their efforts to free slaves by partnering with local justice systems to rescue and restore victims as well as providing resources and legal representation to bring criminals to justice. 

I received an invitation to experience first-hand IJM's work in Guatemala. Hearing that this country is one of the most dangerous places for women to live and for children to grow up broke my heart, and I wanted to find out more. I will be traveling to Guatemala May 6-10, 2018, to meet the families that have been impacted by IJM's work and the IJM staff that I support, as well as learn how IJM work transforming the legal system and bringing aftercare to victims. Recently, I have been asking God to show me his love in deeper ways, and I believe this opportunity will allow me to connect to his heart for me as well as the world. This trip will cost $1500 and I need to raise the funds by the March 31. I am looking for partners who would like to support me through prayer and/or financially.

I am grateful for all the people who have journeyed with me in the past and I am really excited for where God is bringing me through this trip.
