My Tour De 4 Fundraiser to Fight Cancer

Help Lisa Shenton raise money for Macmillan.

As some of you will be aware I have been living with stage 4 cancer since 2015. (Breast, lung plura & bone)

It was devastating news to be told my cancer wasn't curable and would be life limiting. I was a single parent at the time, but i've since seen my son graduate University and he is now completing his Masters.

I'm now happily married and am blessed to have Simon supporting me through the tough times of living with Cancer. I'm also lucky enough to be a fulltime glass artist. Encouraged by Simon I set my business up nearly 4 years ago & find it helps my general mental health.

I'm completing this challenge to mark my 10 year milestone & support Sir Chris Hoy raising awareness on stage 4 cancer. I will be completing my 37.4 mile/60km challenge, cycling around Glasgow in September.

My fitness, health & energy levels are poor but im going to give it my best shot. I havent been on a bike for 20+ years, but then thats what challenges are for.

I'm raising funds for Macmillan, as they help all cancer patients at a local & personal level.

Cancer has and is affecting family close to me, my mum has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer & I'm sure you also have people in your life that are also affected and using the services that Macmillan offer.
