Hi everyone!

This September I'll participate in Chris Hoy's 'Tour de 4', a charity cycle event helping to raise vital funds for cancer charities and challenge perceptions about stage 4 cancer. Donations here will go to Cancer Research UK, supporting researchers, clinicians and nurses to fight cancer by transforming how we prevent, diagnose and treat it.

I'll be cycling for my mum, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer earlier this year. She has been - and continues to be - truly remarkable in the courage and strength she brings to the battle.

This event has a particular meaning to our family because Chris Hoy's work around cancer and his book about his cancer journey have been a source of reassurance and perspective at a difficult time.

The event consists of a 90km cycle on Sunday 7th September. I will also (weather, bike and body permitting) cycle the 700km from home to the race location in Glasgow.

Help Cancer Resarch UK bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
