My sweet furry boy

My sweet little furry best friend, Goku. He is the sweetest, most genuine cat you can come a crossed. He loves to go outside and chase things around the yard and can play all day. He is the biggest trooper and I pray I can help him as much as I can. Last night, I came home around 10:30 p.m. where I seen my family just hanging out watching TV on the couch. As I was going to wash my face, I notice trails of blood.. I ran downstairs to ask if anything had happened while I was not home though they were not aware. As I start to panic, we go looking for him and my other kitty. The one was hanging out on the couch and she was okay, so I go to my buddies favorite spot in the house and there he was... his face was all torn up and bleeding that I yelled for my mom to come help me out. We tried to grab a rag to help him close his mouth and stop the bleeding while were also getting the carrier ready to take him to the NorthStar Vet. We were trying to figure out how this happened and how it was not noticed before.. and all we could think was if he was going to be okay. The Vet told us it was likely that he was hit/skimmed by a car and by then, our hearts were aching. She started to talk to us about how he could be back to his happy self as long as we got him repaired right away though the prices were worrying us. Money for us is really tight considering my parents having six kids and four still under their roof. I brought Goku in to our home when he was eleven months old because he needed a home and safety and now I feel I failed to do my part and is responsible in some way to make sure he will be okay.  He is family to us and to lose him because my family and I did not have the money to repair him would be something we could not forget. Anything could help us to save him and we all appreciate anything that would be donated.
