My son's medical mystery

I am sure most of you know that my son, Michael Duong has been sick for quite some time now. For 2 years, he's lived with an unexplained disorder called cyclic vomiting. This is a rare disorder that causes episodes of severe abdominal pain, recurrent attacks of prolonged nausea and vomitting with no immediate cause or treatment. We have tried several specialists in the past, but this rare condition is not easily recognized to many. He has become paralyzed by this condition, unable to work or move freely. Within the past year, Michael has made 19 trips to the ER. My son's condition is getting worse and we do not know why. This condition has caused him to leave his education at UT, and make it very hard for him to complete his classes online. These painful episodes can last up to 10 days, and has recently been reoccurring every other week. Today, I am asking my friends and family for a bit of financial support to help us fund a doctor visit for Michael. Dr. Richard Boles has been studying CVS for over 29 years and is located in Los Angeles, California and is one of the 6 doctors in the US who specializes in CVS and can help us manage his attacks. The asking goal of $2000 would partly cover the cost of 1 airplane ticket, and the expense of one appointment ($1,200). It is very unfortunate that this private doctor does not accept any insurance... I understand that our goal may seem like a lot of money to ask for, but I am extremely thankful for what ever any of you can provide. Thank you to anyone who decides to share this post, or for any of your donations. I really hope that you all can find it in your hearts to think of my son and pray that he gets better.
