Knight’s Story

Knight isn’t just my pet. He’s my son. I never had children, but God blessed me with him—and I loved him and raised him like my own flesh and blood. I’ve talked to him like my child, cared for him like my child, and he gave me the kind of love only a son could give back. He has been with me through battles in life that would have broken me without him.

Now my son is at the end of his fight. His body is tired, and I can see he’s ready to go home. As his father, my last duty is to help him cross over with peace, dignity, and honor. I want to give him a proper goodbye—through a humane euthanasia so he doesn’t suffer, and a burial and memorial so his spirit is remembered the way he deserves.

The truth is, I can’t afford it on my own. I went through a life-changing accident that left me unable to work. I’m in school now, doing everything I can to rebuild, but right now I don’t have the funds to carry out this last act of love for my son.
