My Sister's generator and roof fund

I didnt realize until this weekend how devestated I have been about Puerto Rico. My older sister Maria (get the name) still lives there with her son Jayson. My sister will not leave the island. They both cried when they became aware how much damage these hurricanes have caused. My sister is currently retired and on a fixed income. She was prepared with water and food but its been long and the devestation beyond what they expected. I am concerned for her safety and would like to support her with a water tight roof. There is a neighbor who just had her's done for $6,000. I am hoping that these people would accept our goal of 5,000 and make sure that her house holds up. I have been gifted a generator from a former student at IVISD and I am sending it to her this week. so that she can put her refrigerator and two fans as she requested. Its hot, it rained all weekend and the mosquitos are having a field day with her which is rare.
