My sister Leslie's Medical fund

My sister Leslie is one of the most beautiful souls I know. Being 12 years older I am very protective of her.  Over the last ten years she has survived both breast and rectal cancer and lost her small intestine 8 years ago due to being misdiagnosed in a hospital in Arizona.  Fortunately, I was able to donate 6 feet of mine to her and this rare surgery has been successful albeit the compromising of her kidneys, and nervous system .  (google small intestine transplant at UMC). Through all of this she has remained upbeat and never complains stating that there " is always someone worse off than she is".  Well, her kidneys are now failing due to the meds she must take daily to keep her alive. Interesting how drugs that are helpful in one way can really be detrimental to other parts of you. She is now on dialysis and needs a kidney transplant.  The doctor who did our transplant surgery in Arizona is now in New York; Dr. Gruesner who is exceptional. Yes, she needs a kidney donor if the current volunteer is not a candidate after testing. Her blood type is A negative.  This GO Fund ME is for the costs to pay for a donor's travel and stay in the hospital which is not covered by insurance. If you can find it in your heart to send a donation, her  husband, parents and sisters will be very grateful.
