My name is Shailini, Tzarina’s baby sister. I have been diagnosed with lupus for 5 years now and ever since then my lungs have been affected by this immune disease. I have had
thoracentesis ( removal of fluid from the space around the lungs) multiple times to help me breath better and at one point used Benlysta, a medicine that lupus patients use but was stopped after 6 months due to financial difficulties & the fluid of my lungs still kept accumulating. Last June 2017, I had a Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery in my right lung with your financial help that I am so grateful for. It’s a procedure that has given me good result and stopped the fluid accumulation in my right lung. My left lung however still accumulates fluid thus my thoracentesis every month has continued since June to help me breath. I am needing another surgery in my left lung.
My sister Tzarina who is letting me use her GoFundMe ( for this campaign can not be used in the Philippines) account has helped me financially other than the help that you have generously extended to me on my first surgery because I am a stay home mother of a twin and my husband has just started a new job with a meager pay & he also has to maintain medications for his cardiomyopathy & high blood pressure, so his pay isn’t enough for all our medical expenses plus we also have to support our 2 kids that are in 8th grade.
The surgeon who operated on my right lung deems it right that I have the surgery on my left lung now that my surgery last June has good results. So I am once again knocking on the doors of your hearts for financial help as lupus has left me unemployed because of the limitations this ailment has caused me. GoFund is my way of helping my sister come up with an amount as she saves money for my operation. This surgery will stop the fluid accumulation in my left lung thus I’ll be able to breath better. This will help me lead a close to normal life with my family especially my young twins who need me while still dealing with lupus. So we direly need your help to raise $9,000 so that I could have the 2nd video assisted thorascopic surgery on my left lung.
