Start to Socialize and Connect!

Hello and welcome to my campaign for my vision to create a social platform where people meet for almost anything. 

I had an idea where people who were interested in dating should take the time to actually talk to the person rather than swiping left or right because of looks. But then again, you are not using apps only to find the partner of your dreams, what about the other social aspects of it? 

The general idea of the platform is that of two things.

1. Dating experience.
2. Social interaction.

[1]The dating experience is a new idea and I haven't seen it being used anywhere before.  There's no swipe mechanic to find that special someone because the matching will happen in real time while both are using the app. More information regarding the details of the dating part will be published on a roadmap-site which I will be creating and updating as time goes and will be available for everyone to see and will kick off as soon as the first line of code is written.

[2] The social interaction part of the platform is a way for people nearby your current location to simply say "Hey, my name is James, would you like to join me for a cup of coffee while I wait for my train?"

You update your status of what you are currently doing - Let's use James as an example again. 

James is waiting for his train to leave but he has two hours to spend before he leaves, James then logs on to the app and creates a meet-up:
"I'm waiting for my train that leaves in two hours, would anyone care to join for a cup of coffee?"

Sophie is in the vicinity of James and have through a push-notification on the phone read his status. Sophie continues to check James's status and simply accepts the "invitation" as it were.  James then recieves a confirmation that someone has accepted his invitation.

The meet-up James created does not go away because Sophie accepted, it stays up until James himself takes the meet-up down or if he goes inactive for over one hour. Allowing the meet-up to remain active encourages other people to join in. Other people can also see if and how many other people have already accepted the invitation.

Imagine where people such as you and me could spend our time waiting for a train, waiting for next class or just simply want some company - with someone brand new in the matter of moments and share our story about it.
 
Now.. What I mean by 'sharing our story'. Every individual that has created and had a meet-up with anyone from the app will have the opportunity to share it through a billboard as it were. You don't have to be specific, it's only an option if you want to share it with others on the platform.

These are the general and tiny details about the plans for the platform, I believe it will not only benefit people who wants to find that special someone, but also the introvert and more shy people who don't have the courage or even ability to start a conversation or just sit down with someone you don't know... yet.


I'm starting this campaign in hope to be able to make this project a reality. I lack the neccesary skillset to develop these types of platforms myself and that's where you come in. The funds of this campaign will go towards hiring and paying developers to make the platform a reality and also maintaining it in good shape - This will also include rent of hosting services and servers to keep it a safe and secure platform for people to use. 


I have a very handy education and work in the backend of IT-infrastructure with specifics but not limited to networking, databases, security, server maintenance, troubleshooting, support management, team leading and so forth. 

I've had this idea for a long time and worked on it and tried to get developers to do it with me but I haven't had any success so far. To make this a reality would mean a lot for me personally, to be able to help other people with their social interactions and like mentioned earlier, find that special someone. I do believe it will benefit all of us to make the world just a little bit more friendly and active in our social lives and if I have the opportunity to do that, I will.


I will not be able to put into words how grateful I am to be able to put this up as a fundraiser, you people of this site are the real heroes here. I have donated to a lot of causes and now it is time for my own cause - my company and dream of making the social world a little bit more active.

The platform and app are set to be a free-to-use on Apple and Android units. The free version will contain small but relevant ads. Should you want to disable ads there will be an option for a "premium" version that will be available to buy from the platform.

Ads will be a big part of the platforms survival as it will be the main financial income to continue the development after release. Should you want to disable the ads and gain a few extra features you can choose to buy a premium membership.


The Funding Packages.

To assure and keep you up to date with the progress we'll have some funding packages for you to enjoy.


When a milestone of 6,500$ has been reached, hiring of a developer can be started and production of the platform can officially be started.

This campaign will continually be updated with time as we move forward with the development.
