MY PRECIOUS LAYLA'S SURGERY

Donation protected
I never thought I would be doing this but since I am in great need of help, I thought I'd reach out and take advantage of this fundraising site. It all started about 3 months ago when Layla was having nausea, vomiting, diarrhea then constipation. She lost her appetite and lost about 4 lbs as of today. I took her to several Veterinarians and initially was treated for diarrhea then diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's Disease). Layla has a talent on how to hide her illness or discomfort especially when she is with other people. She remains energetic but I can sense that she is not anywhere near comfortable. I took her to a Specialist (Internal Medicine and Gastroenterologist), worked her up from blood tests, abdominal Xrays and Ultrasound numerous times and found an almost a human half-fist size, non-food, amorphous,  dense stuff lodged in her stomach. They can't determine if it is a mass or just bulk of stuff but I can guarantee you that it has gotten bigger compared to her last two Xrays 3 months ago. Layla is "stable" but sonething needs to be done. An expert Veterinarian suggested to perform an Endoscopy (Upper and Lower) to see if he can remove it and will have a standby Surgeon and Anesthesiologist if he can not remove it using the scope. And the estimate for the entire procedure is pretty hefty and her medical insurance I have for her will not cover any of the surgeries or procedures to be performed. We have picked the date for the surgery to be performed, October 9, 2017 at SAGE, Campbell. As everyone knows, Layla is my "daughter" and she means the world to me. She's been with me since she was 10 weeks old, she brings me so much joy and gives me so much love. I protect her and she protects me, it is because all we have is each other. I thought she is needy, but then I realized it was me who is clingy and needy. I always wanted her around me, looking forward for her sloppy wet kisses when I get home and cuddle on our lazy days together. Layla and I will be truly grateful if anyone can help us get through this time when we needed help. And we ask for prayers as well for her to tolerate the pain and discomfort from the surgery and her speedy recovery. Layla will send you her imaginary big hugs and wet kisses, woof!!
