My mum, Marg, brings colour wherever she goes — quite literally.
She’s an artist who uses her gifts to bring joy, beauty, and life into the spaces and lives of others. Her work brightens the homes of those near and dear to her.
But some of her most meaningful work has been done far from home — in Cambodia.
What This Trip Is About
Mum has previously volunteered to paint murals in safe spaces that care for girls and young women recovering from trafficking and trauma. These centres do extraordinary work — offering safety, education, and a future.
Her murals aren’t just decorations. They transform plain walls into places that feel warm, beautiful, and full of life. They lift the mood. They help staff welcome new arrivals. And they leave behind something lasting — colour that stays.
This year, she’s been invited back to paint again.
Why We’re Raising Funds
This kind of work relies on support — and it’s worth supporting, because it brings light, life, and restoration into spaces that are helping women step out of darkness and into hope.
Mum’s murals offer joy, colour, and comfort — not just to those who live and work in these spaces, but to everyone who walks through them. But she can’t do this on her own.
We’re raising $6,000 to make this trip possible and ensure she can continue this beautiful, life-giving work.
Your gift will help cover:
• Flights and accommodation
• Art supplies
• Local transport
• Basic living costs while she volunteers
Why It Matters
If you know my mum, you know this is the kind of thing that makes her light up.
She doesn’t do it for applause. She does it because she believes that beauty can help restore what’s been lost — and a mural can bring life where things once felt empty.
Thank you for reading — and for considering a gift to help her go.
We can’t wait to see what she’ll create next!
