<div>Lewy body dementia (LBD) is a progressive form of dementia that affects thinking, reasoning, and information processing. It's an umbrella term for two similar dementia subtypes: dementia with Lewy bodies and Parkinson's disease dementia. Both are characterized by brain damage caused by Lewy bodies, which are abnormal protein deposits that build up in brain cells.
