My mothers house needs help!

Hello All,
On September 13, 2018, my mother Robin Chavis aka Ms. Robin, Big Rob or Mommy Robin, was affected by Hurricane Florence. She attempted to stay in her home and wait out the storm, as many others, however she quickly realized the depth of Hurricane Florence’s threat. The heavy rain and winds began to tear at her roof exposing her and her 5 children to torrential rain in the house. Eventually she was forced to leave her home with her children and take shelter elsewhere.
My mom spent a total of 4 days away from her home and was not prepared from the amount of devastation that awaited her. Her house is severely damaged. The elements of the hurricane caused her roof to be ripped off, her ceilings collapsed and many of the rooms in the house was flooded and drenched in water. She also lost power during that time which caused all of her to food to spoil or rot.
My mom’s house is currently unlivable and she is still taking shelter elsewhere. She has devoted her blood, sweat and tears in turning this house into a home and even using it to help those around her. She provides a babysitting service to many parents in the neighbourhood and treats these children as her own family. She is now unable to help these parents nor able to provide for her own children without the extra income. Her back is now against the wall with limited options for assistance. Her insurance company, which she has religiously paid every month on time for the past 11 years, is giving her such a hard time and is refusing to help. She has recently been denied by FEMA and is feeling very hopeless at this point.
My mother is completely displaced and it is saddening me that I cannot make this all go away on my own. I live in New York with my 9 year old son and cannot do as much as I wish I could do to help her. That is why I am here asking of for help. I know that God is walking with us and we pray every day that things will become clearer for her and she will get through this hardship. I am starting this GoFund Me page in hopes that this will help my mom get back on her feet so that she can restart her life and rebuild her home.
Any small donation will help because if anyone has ever know my mom, they will most certainly know that she has a big heart and offers her hand to anyone in need, including her home. The funds received will be used to help repair the damage to my mothers home. I would like to thank everyone in advance and please continue to pray for the strength of my family.
