<div>I never imagined writing something like this, but our family is going through a very difficult time. My mom, Kristy Hemsley, has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and right now our focus is on making sure she receives the care, comfort, and support she deserves.

<div>One of the hardest parts of this situation is the financial uncertainty. My mom’s insurance will be ending at the end of March and my dad is entering retirement. As many families know, cancer treatment comes with overwhelming costs beyond what even insurance covers.
</div>

</div>
<div>I’m starting this fundraiser because I don’t want my parents worrying about finances while they’re trying to navigate something this heavy. My goal is to give them breathing room so that decisions can be made based on care and quality of life, not fear of debt. They would never ask for help, but I know they need it. This would help us be able to spend time without worrying.
