My mommy was murdered, Little Liam

Donation protected

This poor little guy already had a rough start in life when he was born without his right hand. He's worked hard, and continues to work hard to overcome those challenges, and he says he can do everything everyone else can.

But there's a new challenge that Little Liam, now 6, won't be able to overcome: His mommy was murdered.*

He won't have his mommy there to kiss his "boo boos" or to read him a book and snuggle him in at night. He won't have his mommy there when he goes on his first date, gets his driver's license, graduates high school or finishes college.

Your donation can help ensure Little Liam does finish college, despite all the setbacks he's had. All monies received will go directly to an educational fund for him or to pay for a prothesis.

No, it won't bring back his mommy. No, it won't give him a right arm.  But it will help make things a little easier for him, since he's already been through so much.

On behalf of Liam, bless you, and thank you.

An account has been set up for Liam at UWCU under the name Liam Voeks Schmit.

Abigail Rae Voeks
February 27, 1990 - December 5, 2017

Of Mukwonago, was taken from us unexpectedly on December 5th, 2017 at the age of 27.  She is survived by her loving son Liam Voeks; parents Thomas Voeks and Tracy AC Henricksen; brother Johannes Voeks; grandmother Patricia Butler; and grandfather Thomas Carne.  Abigail is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents John Butler and Norman (Marilyn) Voeks.

Abigail was going to Nursing School.  Her son Liam was the love of her life.  She was a very loving, caring and compassionate soul who loved the outdoors and her dog Gotham.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 16th from 12 NOON until 2:00 PM at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mukwonago (930 Main St.)

The family would like to thank Sarah and Dr. Mervin Langley for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be directed to the Women’s Center of Waukesha. http://twcwaukesha.org/
Domestic violence occurs when a person uses physical violence, coercion, threats, intimidation, isolation, stalking, or emotional, sexual or economic abuse to gain or maintain power and control over another partner in an intimate relationship. This includes any behaviors that intimidate, manipulate, humiliate, isolate, frighten, terrorize, coerce, threaten, blame, hurt, injure, or wound someone. Domestic violence can be a single act or a pattern of behavior in relationships, which law defines as: currently or formerly married, currently or formerly dating, currently or formerly living together, or having a child in common. Domestic violence may be known by other terms, including intimate partner violence or relationship abuse. Many behaviors associated with domestic violence are crimes.

One can only wonder how much of this domestic violence Little Liam has witnessed.

(Mommy's family designated who the memorials should go to. This GoFundMe page is set up by Liam's Godmother, with permission of Liam's daddy.)
