My moms house burned down

Recently, my mother, Una Yellow Bull Nelson, had suffered the loss of her significant other and her sister in the same year. These 2 deaths have impacted her life severely emotionally and financially . However, she was able to move her house back to the place where she grew up and finally begin to find her footing.

Because there wasn’t any infrastructure in place my mom has spent her entire savings setting up here home in a place where she planned to retire. A septic system, electrical, foundation and water have all taken a huge amount of time, effort and money to make her house livable and comfortable.

Just as she thought she finally made her house a home, she has suffered another great loss. This evening she was a victim of domestic violence and suspected arson. Currently the case will be under investigation, but my mom will never be able to recover her house or the money she poured into it. Unfortunately, she could not afford insurance. 

She only has the clothes on her back and will need a lot of support to recover from this tragedy. In a place where it is already difficult to secure housing, my mom is currently homeless and will need to begin to figure out what she will do next.
