In November I will be going to Durban South Africa with a group from Crossroads Church to help build school houses for children in poverty.
This trip will be an amazing opportunity for me to serve people in need, an opportunity for me to experience another culture, an opportunity to provide trade skills, and an opportunity to grow spiritually.
Enough about me though... This trip will provide children with a better opportunity to learn, grow and prosper.
I work with at risk youth every day. I see what the lack of real opportunity does to a young person. I also see how youth thrive when given what most of you receiving this message have had since birth, opportunity!
So now I would like to give you the opportunity to share in this journey with me. I’m asking all of my family, friends, colleagues, and even random folks I don’t know to give.
You can give in the form of prayer, wishful thoughts, advice, and of course money.
For those of you that gave to my two previous trips to Puerto Rico, I am forever thankful. I saw first hand what life can be like when devastation and loss of stability is all you know, and everything you possess is gone. My life was so fulfilled providing hope by rebuilding homes. Physically seeing the resurrection of a persons spirit is life altering and you helped to provide me with that opportunity.
