Hello Family and Friends. It has been quite a while since I've updated you on my journey. I am now 4 years and 3 months in. I never thought I'd be on this journey this long, but God has carried me through every step of the way. Throughout these years I have experienced a lot. The loss of my dads,, my cousin Darryl who was on the same journey as me. I experienced heartbreaking hardships with my children. Havind to go from being actuve to inactive on the list because of conditions and suspected conditions I developed. Remember the parathyroidectomy that almost took my life? I was suspected of having a rare heart condition the medical team thiught would require a heart transplant too. A suspected blood cancer. I had to have a heart biopsy and a bone marrow biopsy to find the answers. God said, "Leave my child alone! I got her," Both trsts were negative! Hallelujah! Lastly, financial struggles, etc. Yet, here I stand emotionally strong as ever because God allowed me to see what He can do if I remained humble and faithful. Now, I am very close to this part of the journey coming to and end. I have an appointment with the transplant team on August 7th, for hopefully final tests and consultation with the surgeon and other team members. If all goes well, the team will meet to determine if I go back to active status. Why is that crucial you may ask? Well because of the many years of waiting, I am not #1 on the transplant list!!!!!! Optimistically, I could be transplanted within a month. With being g said, here is the not so optimistic part. Because of the many health issues I have faced, I have depleted my paid leave at work. When I am off for the surgery and recovery, I will not receive a paycheck to cover the bills. The hardest thing to do is ask for help in this climate when so many are working with less. This is a lesson in humility as I'm used to being the cheerful giver. So, I ask, if you can donate anything please help me and the kids. If you are a government working please considering donating some leave to me. That would help tremendously. If you know of public and private resources who could help, please share the information. The most worthwhile thing you can do is PRAY for me/us. I am grateful that I have the best village ever! You too are the reason I made it this far. I look forward to getting to my new normal. Being able to travel, do my crafts, more cooking. Being able to clean my house, and do my garden again. So much to do and discover. Please help me spread the word. Share this on tiktok, Instagram, or any social media you can. I want to share my testimony in hopes that it will help someone else. Thank you so much, an God bless you all.
