Hello there...my name is BennE. I am an eight-year old Yorkie who has an amazing human owner. On February 3, 2025, my human took me to the vet as I wasn't quite myself. The doctor asked my human if I could stay after doing some bloodwork. I didn't want to stay but my human thought it would be best. Later that day, the doctor called my mom saying it would be a good idea to bring me to the animal hospital/emergency. Off to the hospital we went and I was scared to death. I'm an anxious boy on a good day.

When we got there, another doctor took me away, hooked me up to fluids and medications. The doctor was quite concerned. My kidneys were failing. The numbers weren't even registering on the test. I stayed for three days with so many procedures done on me. I was getting depressed and was losing weight. They even put a tube in my nose for nutrients.

When they thought I was strong enough to leave my human's bill was $6,379.13 (over $7000 with my own vets bill).

Not even a week later, I was falling sick again and my mom had a heart to heart talk with my doctor (with tears in her eyes). I'm just not strong enough. The doctor did suggest trying an anti-nauseous pill. And it seems to be helping for now. One problem though, it's expensive. A four day supply is $57. Plus I also came home with medication for my blood pressure and to help my heart pump more efficiently which I need to stay on.

I'm a sick little boy but I'm not ready to leave my mom and my mom isn't ready for me to leave her. We are a team...we are family. It's just me and her. I'm her unconditional love and best friend and she's mine. Please, please help my mom get through this emotional and financial trying time (she doesn't have to tell me but she doesn't know how she will get through this - I pick up her vibes). Maybe then she can get the prescriptions that are helping me stay alive....love BennE xo
