Homeless Project

Tax deductible
One part of my Bar Mitzvah experience is choosing a way to make a difference in the world. Immediately, I thought of homelessness. When I see a homeless person out on the streets, I want to do the most I can to help. I often give money when driving by on a corner, but I want to do more than that to make their lives better.  I feel that being homeless has everyday challenges that need attention from the general public. That is why the project I have decided to take on is helping the homeless population.

I visited the Boulder Homeless Shelter and they said that the most helpful donations would be beds. The 150 beds that the shelter has are run down and uncomfortable. With all the challenges a homeless person has to deal with, a good night's sleep would be an amazing gift. A new bed costs the shelter $250. Donating beds would be a huge gift for the homeless population. My goal is $2,500, or 10 beds. Please do donate so I can gift beds to the homeless population for a good night's sleep.
