My Grandmother Corazon’s Recovery

Donation protected
Hello everyone! I am Alyssa Nepomuceno and I'm writing this for my grandmother, Corazon Punsalang, who needs all the help that she can get because of a life-changing event that occurred to her just recently.

On August 3, 2020, my grandmother was admitted to Medical City (Philippines) because of an acute stroke. She stayed there for almost 2 weeks, but she still hasn't fully recovered yet. She's now having her therapy in her house every day with my mother and her siblings’ help.

Three weeks later after the initial stroke, a vein suddenly popped out in her right eye so she needed to get another checkup; however, her neurologist didn't want to give her clearance for her to undergo a procedure called Fluorescence Angiography for them to find out the target area and diagnose her eye, for proper treatment. Her doctor didn't allow this because it would mean for her to stop taking one of her medications which is for preventing another stroke. Of course, we're prioritizing her brain right now and we have to wait months or so for her to stay healthy and recover. If she needs any surgery and things won’t go well, she might need to go through dialysis which is something that our family is trying to avoid because her body wouldn't be able to handle it.

For anyone who knows my grandmother personally, you already know she's diabetic too and she's doing her part reversing this condition. I've always wanted to help her get through what she's facing right now, but due to the pandemic and financial reasons, I wouldn't be able to go back home for her anytime soon.

I and my family honestly didn't want to ask for anyone's help, but we are simply in need of any financial help right now. The whole family is trying its best to give grandmother the best care that she needs and all of us are working hard to achieve that. It will be a long and difficult process but small gestures like funding for her recovery and even offering a few seconds of sharing this letter to your feed will help our cause a ton. All funding will go to her recovery and I'll try to be transparent about the spending by providing everyone a report.

Your small help (and the fact that you've reached this point in the letter) is greatly appreciated because my grandmother means a lot to me and it's difficult seeing her in a position like this.

Donations and sharing this post are not the only ways to help her go through her recovery, but also through an eyelash service that I offer for anyone who is into that and I also sell food from my Crave Buddies business. All the money that goes through those two will benefit my grandmother greatly.

I got no other words to say, but I can offer prayers and my gratitude to anyone who offered several minutes into this letter. May God shower every one of you with His love and blessings. Thank you so much.
