On the early morning of May 20th, My God Father and Uncle, Nixon Petit went to work for the night. Little did anyone know he would never return home. Nixon worked security in Phoenix, Arizona. While at work, Nixon was trying to prevent an armed man from entering the building. The interaction proceeded to escalate, and Nixon was shot twice in the chest. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 3:45 AM. His injuries were so detrimental, he was pronounced dead 30 minutes later, at 4:15 AM. The suspect fled the scene and has yet to be found.
Sadly, Nixon left us with no wife or kids. His funeral costs land on his 4 sisters, all of which have their own families. Nixon went to work and never came back. The murder of our brother, uncle, and friend has been taking a toll on this entire family. His funeral costs are extremely expensive, and moving his body to Florida alone is thousands of dollars. Not to mention our family is scattered all over the US, so plane tickets must be bought in time for the funeral. Every single one of these costs will have to be out of pocket.
