My name is Shannon and I’m currently 35 years old, I’ve worked since I was 16 and come from a broken family, I had to care for my siblings from a young age and whiteness all kinds of abuse growing up, I myself was put through the care system as a young girl from 13–15yrs, I became an independent woman off the back of that and made my own path choosing to work and be self dependent renting property’s along the way, I’ve had 3 long term relationships with men and never fallen pregnant, I was always worried it was me and my problem so never looked in to it and continued my journey as I guess “a failure” it was only until i met the true love of my life I was encouraged to look in to my problems internally, in doing this I had a scan of my tubes and ovaries and the result was I had a blocked left tube that needed to be clipped through surgery, I’ve recently had this as of last year and was told from my surgeon my other tube was blocked and would only stand a very small chance of conceiving naturally, I was also told as my recent partner of 5 years has children I would not be eligible for IVF, I find this so wrong as I as a women deserves to be a mum with just 1 child with someone I love and want to father my child after so long of waiting and wondering!
I don’t think it’s fair my right has been taken away when I have not been able to have a child naturally, Why Is it ok in a world so wrong with human rights that I can be a 15 year old girl and have as many kids as I wish and not have to prove my self as a stable person and someone who can provide for a child! , I think the law on being denied IVF just because my partner has children is DISGUSTING! I’m being told I will only get it funded for FREE if I meet someone with no children!! IM 35 and have had to experience what is so wrong with getting pregnant early on in life!! this is my plea to ask for help to allow me to become a mum and allow a child to have a mum who has become the strongest person even through the worst cards delt
thank you to anyone who spends time in reading this.
