my friend who is hospitalized and seriously hurt

Hi, my name is Billy H, and I am fundraising for a friend who was seriously and possibly permanently hurt in a motorcycle accident. Another driver cut him off. This other driver did not even stop to see if my friend, Joel B needed any help or was alive.

Joel is or was working two jobs to support his family. He is not currently working either as he is looking at a 7-9 month recovery time. This time is going to involve many surgeries as his injuries are extensive. He is a new dad who will now celebrate his baby girl's first birthday from a hospital bed if he can see her at all. He also caught a case of Covid while in the hospital, just to make things worse.

As mentioned earlier, Joel is battling a case of Covid that he picked up while in the hospital.

Joel will be out of work for many a month and is in desperate neeed of some help. This happened on the way home. Joel is an experienced and careful bike rider for many years. Joel was riding home when a pick-up truck sped out from a side block and forced Joel to squeeze his brakes going around a bend and caused his wheels to lock up, and he lost control and crashed into a light post at about 35 mph. The bike is obviously totaled, but that is the least of his concerns as of right now.

The vehicle insurance does not cover any of his medical needs. The co-payments are so ridiculously high from the other insurance that he cannot pay them as we speak and is falling behind on not only his medical, but his rent and cost of supporting a family are, in his own words, kicking his butt! Not that the injuries weren't enough. This money will go to his medical needs, keeping a roof over his family and meeting their everyday needs such as food, clothing and things they need to live on.

Please understand that Joel is not asking this for himself and had no idea I was doing this for him until I reached out to him for some information. Joel is a very hard worker, a proud man, and it would kill him to ask for charity. That is why I am doing it for him. PLEASE HELP!
