My Friend Scott Baker Needs Your Help

Scott Baker has been a wonderful friend to Hollywood for years, and to me since 2011, as a correspondent on our radio show, The Ray Carr Show. He has come  upon extremely hard times recently, is living in a terrible situation with no choice, and desperately needs surgery for a recurrence of tongue cancer from 20 years ago. When I asked if I could do this for him, he told me he would not ask anyone to do this, but he is so grateful for anything a friend would do. I know that $5,000 will probably not begin to scratch the surface for what this surgery will probably cost, but I didn't want to scare away anyone willing to help with too large an ask (and we can always go over this amount in donations). Anyone knows that cancer surgery  is horrendously expensive, so anything you can give would be a help. As many charities have said: "no gift is too big and no gift is too small".  I am hopeful all of Scott's friends will see this and contribute soon, as he is in a lot of pain, and having a very difficult time trying to get his situation taken care of through an Advocate, who is also very grateful for any help that can be offered at this time.
