My Father: The Cancer Fighter & Painter

Donation protected
Thank you for taking the time to visit this page.  We understand how precious time can be and we are grateful that you spared a few moments to come here.

Our father, Rocky, spent most of his time catering to the commands of colon cancer, unfortunately.  It stripped him of his leisure, vacation, and family time and replaced it with hospital and bed time---typical bully.  Cancer has many definitions, one of them being home-bound, which could also be interpreted as dejection to others.

When he encountered this foe, our mother had to be the only bread-maker.  Working 24/7 in order to support our family isn't without its sacrifices; she barely possessed any time to spend with her precious husband whom she felt was slipping away like bar soap.  Rocky seeing Sunny, our mother, was as difficult as enduring the treatment for the cancer.

It was very lonely, but when he decided to paint, his whole outlook evolved into something a tad bit more positive. He began painting canvases of houses, people, mountains, mother nature, and much more.  Cancer may have dominated his life, but he found another reason to keep fighting.  He found something to do besides lie in bed.  He became a bit more active, and actually enjoyed life despite being chained to the cancer.

We would like to raise money for him to continue his battle against his disease.  Sometimes, one doesn't require a sword to fight; my father only needed a paint brush.  We finally found some hope.

We would like for Rocky and Sunny to catch up with the time that cancer had robbed from them. We would like for them to travel the world so Rocky can gain even more inspiration to paint by visiting other beautiful places on Earth. We believe, the more he paints, he can be emotionally, mentally and physically more capable of facing this unfair foe.

Rocky paints with acrylic paint.  He would love to utilize oil paint, but it's not affordable with his current financial status.

Donating would be most helpful to Rocky.  With the money raised, they can actually live life, and finally purchase some oil paint to create even more fantastic artwork.  We see so much potential in him.  He just needs some support from other wonderful people.

Any amount would be spectacular.
For donations of $150 and higher, Rocky will gift the person an original piece of his artwork in gratitude.

Every donation is like a piece of hope. Please help us complete the hope puzzle.

Thank you very much.
