My father My hero and Vietnam Vet

We always think we have more time.  Time, something we all seem to take for granite. As I sit here and try to type, the tears in my eyes and the lump in my chest isn't quite making this easy for me.  He was an amazing Dad, husband, best friend, confidant,  and if you needed help and he could do it, you bet your butt he would! My dad was one of the hardest working men I ever known. He made sure he did what he had to so his family could have what they needed. He went to work sick, stitches, in a cast and even blew off the top of his foot. But guess what he was there at 4:30am everyday. He made us all proud that he was our Dad. He was a Vietnam Vet, said he seen things that would haunt him his whole life. He didn't say much about it but when he did tears would fill his eyes and he would get choked up in the thoughts. He told me when they returned home they were spit on and called names. It broke my heart. As someone who served your country how could you treat them so. Do you know as a Vet the VA and Government supply a whole $800 towards his burial/cremation benefits.  The average funeral expense cost between $2500-$5000.  Any funds raised on this page will go STRICTLY towards my Dads cremation expenses.
