My English Mission
Have you ever had your eyes set on a goal, and you just couldn't stop until you reached it? Like everything else in life became secondary, and you were willing to sacrifice everything just to have it? That's been me for 5 years now. I've been dreaming of being a missionary to Japan my whole Christian college career, and mesmerized by its culture for most of my life. I've even been an intern and Sunday School teacher of a beautiful Japanese church for the last two years now! It's been wonderful, but the time has come for me to step out in faith. I've finally been presented with an option to go and be a light among the Japanese, but I need your help.
Following in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul, I've decided to sponsor my missions by tent-making, or in this case―teaching English. The English program will provide me with housing and first month's rent, but I'm responsible for providing everything else. I most likely will need between $3,000-4,000 to cover the costs of transportation and first month necessities. Unfortunately, I don't get paid until the end of the first month, but after that I should be self-sustaining!
I need two things from you:
1. Dedicated prayer. This will be really hard. I'm leaving everything I know behind and living in a foreign country. I will experience culture shock. I will need encouragement from others, prayer from the faithful, and the strength of the Holy Spirit. Please pray for transformation, provision, opportunity, constant fullness of the Holy Spirit, and strength that only God can provide.
2. Assistance. I'm attempting to save as much money as I can on my own, and sell a lot of my belongings to help meet this goal. But I will need your help to get there. No donation is too small. Every little bit can help. If I have something you've been eyeballing, make an offer! Perspective: 20 people giving $100 is $2,000! Currently, donations can be made through GoFundMe, or checks made payable to me. Please mail any physical donations to 4140 Bradford Woods Ln., Indianapolis, IN 46268.
Please prayerfully consider this! There are more than 127 million people living in Japan, with less than 1% Christians. For every missionary in Japan, there are over 64k people! Talk about a harvest with no workers! Help me to harvest this grain before it perishes, and join me on this journey.
