My dog or my property tax?

Meet Lucy .......
Lucy is my ten year old cocker spaniel.

On Tuesday, September 15 at 6 P.M. Lucy thru up. She just laid down  .... she had been sleeping allot since Saturday before .... stopped eating too .... was drinking water and peeing but not pooping.
I was really keeping an eye on her ... I noticed her gums were pale .... and then all that sleeping. I had already scheduled a vet appointment but she couldn't be seen until Thursday at 3:45  .... it wouldn't wait!

I went to get her up at 8:30 and she looked up but didn't move. When I tried to help her she peed all over both of us.

I took Lucy to the VCA animal hospital in Tucson. They did a blood draw. Normal red blood cell percentage fo a dog is 40% .... she was at 8%. Something called toxic anemia. A very long night and a transfusion and Lucy bounced back to 30%!!

Within 6 hours she was back down to 24% and another transfusion was being discussed .... by Thursday morning she bounced back up to 31%! She has one more blood test this week .... I think she will be okay.

The bill was over $2600 and worth every penny of it! Lucy has been with me through so many calamities in my own personal life and has been what has gotten me through in many moments.

I think Lucy will be fine .... however my checking account is another story. That money I used was to pay my property taxes in Pima County in Arizona due October 1st.

Im 71 years old and an unemployed church musician living on social security.
I've never asked for help. If you can help I can't even begin to tell you how grateful both myself and Lucy would be.
