On June 28th, my daughter’s 32nd birthday, she was blessed to get a kidney transplant. She was diagnosed with lupus at age 12. Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the immune system (which normal fights infections) attacks the body. Commonly the kidneys are attacked and damaged in the process. As a result my daughter went into kidney failure in 2013 and she had to go on dialysis. Despite all the challenges of her disease, my daughter became a chef and hasn’t let her illness take control of her life. She was on dialysis for 10yrs which had many challenges. The new kidney has been such a blessing and was the best birthday gift we could ask for. My daughter is recovering well, but in order for a full recovery she is unable to work for 3 months. She is needing help with her rent and normal monthly bills until she can return to work. We are asking for help to reduce the financial burdens during her recovery period. Any amount is appreciated towards this goal. My daughter has been such a warrior as she has battles against lupus. Thank you in advance for any help you are able to give!
