Heartbroken to announce that my Father R.I.P. Alexander Mario Waclawski 02/26/57-03/02/18 had passed away a couple weeks ago from severe stage four metastatic mesothelioma lung cancer. My family and I are heartbroken to have lost such an amazing human being whom we loved so much. My Father will be buried along with my Mother details to be announced... So sad to say that both of my parents are passed away but I am happy they will have found each other again & are finally together again in heaven. Please pray for my family and I during this extremely difficult time. I am looking for a beautiful headstone for my parents remembrance gravesite. Any proceedings to help this cause would be more than appreciated. GOD Bless All .

My Father  Alexander (Mario) Waclawski has been recently diagnosed with metastatic stage four lung cancer. This is a very devastating time for my family. The doctors have recommended chemotherapy treatment to help his condition.  I am trying to urgently raise money for his treatment plan of chemotherapy/medications/at home oxygen , etc., this will help my Father with his life threatening condition to help find the cure for this horrible disease. Please help anyway you can!

Thank you.
Peace & Love

Biography-
Written by: Alexandra Waclawski
This story is the beginning of a biography book I am writing about my Dad and family:

It was Tuesday, May 18th 1999, the day before my 8th birthday, a crisp calm day in the beautiful Pocono Mountains Pennsylvania. I was anticipating my Dad’s arrival from the usual hospital visit. My mother was sick with cervical cancer and had been battling it already for three struggling years. On that day my Father came home with the most devastating news. My Mother was no longer with us; she had passed away in my Dads arms at the hospital.  I was only 8 years old at the time and I felt a numbness through my body... and then came the burial, the funeral home, her body in the casket. Everything became extremely real. My Mother was no longer with us and my Father was left with three children to raise on his own Martin (14 years old) Paul (11 years old) And myself (8 years old ) ... Full of sadness and sorrow we continued living in the Poconos trying to live on any possible way.  A couple years after my Mother’s death in the fall of 2001 my Dad asked his three heartbroken kids; Martin, Paul, and myself; if we wanted to change our lives and move to sunny San Diego California to pursue his lifelong dream of opening up his own restaurant business and making a new life for his kids. We all agreed. We were happy and excited to start a new life. My Dad sold our three story family home in a matter of months. Yard sale after yard sale we slowly sold everything we owned. My dad had a large 1993 Green Chevy van which was our only shot at making it across the country. We packed mostly food/blankets and as many sentimental items we could fit into that van. We finished our final year of school in Pennsylvania. As soon as the summer began we were ready, to go and start another life. My father, his three kids and our Dog a Beagle named Paco, all packed up and were off to road-trip to the other side of the country where we were not sure of what was really in store for us. We knew not one person who lived in California but the California states promising sunny days were sure to mend our sorrow filled hearts if nothing else did. We made it to San Diego after about one week road-trip. My father found an apartment for his family the same day we arrived. Shortly after adventuring the San Diego area  he had found a nice little place for sale so he bought his business and opened it up by October of that same year. Talk about persistence. The restaurant is called Hancock Street Cafe (Tribute to Herbie Hancock ) Located in San Diego California. My brothers and I we all helped with the cafe; it is a family business. The Cafe was so awesome to grow up around. The entire Café is very uniquely designed with color and soul. Over the years my Dad and I have painted almost every inch of the Hancock Street cafe Everyone who enters is in total shock, it’s something, “Out of this world”. In 2007 my Father Alexander Waclawski walked across the country from San Diego to the White house to help raise awareness for cervical cancer. This movement was a tribute to his wife Joanna Waclawska (My Mother) who passed away in 1999 from cervical cancer. On April 1st 2007 my Dad was on a mission. He planned a cross-country walk-a-thon to promote cervical cancer awareness nationwide. He did this with no money in his pockets, one pair of shoes, only the clothes on his back and a dolly with his guitar and case. http://www.washtimesherald.com/news/man-walks-across-country-to-promote-cancer-awareness/article_82759c03-a6fe-5c85-bf17-d106ac7f8df9.html
It took him almost six months. He started in San Diego and ended at the White House in Washington DC on September 11th 2007 with a request to speak with the President of the United States of America and make a change, find a cure/awareness for cervical cancer. He never spoke to the President, but his journey was a success. He made it across the entire country walking through thirteen states and getting his story in every local newspaper. He was even on the news a couple of times promoting awareness and talking to everyone he met. There were sorrowful hardships along his way , for example his brother passing away from cancer. He continued his journey and succeeded. Now his Café, called the Hancock Street Café, is a tribute to his accomplishments across country. Every thing he has done, he did it for his wife, his children; for anyone who has lost a loved from cancer. My Mother's death sparked a never-ending fire in his heart and in his children hearts. The death of my Mother was tragic but how can life be explained? I  do believe that every little thing happens for a reason. Her departure caused great grief but sparked a fire in my family’s life to strive for the top no matter what. We have learned to take a positive outlook on life no matter what it throws at you. I have my Dad to thank each waking day. He bit the bullet and changed his own life and his family’s life for the best. He proved to his children that anything is possible and showed me the real meaning behind true love. That the only thing that really lasts forever is LOVE. My Dad to this day has not re-married. He plays seven different instruments and still continues to spread his wonderful story to everyone he meets or who walks into the Café. I hope to continue to spread the word on cervical cancer awareness and now to also spread awareness for lung cancer. My Father's  diagnosis of stage four lung cancer is very tragic for my family and I. This is the biggest hardship I have ever faced in my entire life. My father who I love so much is in so much pain and suffering due to stage four lung cancer. My Father has never smoked tobacco but ironically he had to be diagnosed with this disease. Please keep him in your prayers, share his story, post a comment, make a donation, anything helps! I am so greatly appreciative of all the love and support I am getting from my family and friends. I want to say thank you to anyone who has ever helped me along the way.
