My Dad needs a liver

Hi, my name is Monica Garcia. My father, Rolando Rosa, is a patient in urgent need of a liver transplant that is now being denied due to the presence of cannabinoids, CBD & THC, in the bloodstream. After being seen and undergoing numerous tests to be cleared for the liver transplant to take place at Methodist Dallas Medical Hospital Liver Institute, the review committee has determined that no further treatment, including the life-saving operation will be offered. We do not have much time!
During this time, I have contacted advocacy groups to help me with this matter. When contacted by a third party and myself, the liver coordinator in charge of my dad's case, is now stating that he was denied due to non-compliance/non-disclosure. This is not the initial reason she gave us when asked why he was denied. Yes, my father was taking cbd/thc to alleviate the pain from his failing health. Yes, he was scared to disclose this information. The opioids prescribed to him were inducing his hepatic encephalopathy. They are stating that my father was non-compliant due to issues other than the cbd/thc. If my father was so non-compliant, why was he being prepped and undergoing numerous testing to undergo the liver transplant? Why was the transplant team informing his family to be prepared for this life changing surgery, until the positive THC results came in? Their story has changed, but we are still moving forward with my dads transplant search.
He said he isn't giving up hope and neither are we, but we need your help. We are raising funds for medical expenses and travel costs as we search fo a new liver healthcare provider. Rolando's wife is the sole provider, and your donations will help our family manage this unforeseen challenge.
