MY CALL TO MINISTRY SCHOOL

                  MY CALL TO MINISTRY SCHOOL

I understand both my definition of “mission” and the nature of this letter may seem unorthodox to many reading it. It is very fitting however, when considering the source. The events of my life could only be described as one extraordinarily uncommon event after another, or unorthodox.
God has asked me to embark on a 3-year mission. I was accepted into Bethel Church’s Bible College (BSSM) in Redding, CA and will begin the first of 3 full-time years on August 28th. These next 3 years will provide me with not only a biblical education but will prepare and propel me into the purposes God created me for.

Allow me to share one piece of my story:
In May, God told me, "Go to Bethel in the next 60 days." I remember thinking, "Random... but okay." The fact that I had no money, no car to get up there, no idea who would watch my four animals while I was gone and who God wanted me to go with, did not deter me from making plans. The challenges did not discourage me either. The command was so clear, and I knew He would work out all details.
Sure enough, come the last week in June and there I was—sitting in service at Bethel Church. On the second day of my trip God told me, "I want you to go to BSSM, make Redding, CA your new home, and work at Bethel Church." I remember feeling excited but thrown off, this was so unexpected and looked so very different from the plans I had for myself this year (i.e. move to LA in Nov/Dec to pursue art and music). The fact that over 7000 students apply to BSSM each year and only 2,500 get accepted, school was starting in less than 8 weeks, people who had interviewed months ago were still waiting to find out if they got in and that this was not my plan did not deter me from obeying. I trusted God and so in faith, knowing He would work out the details, I again said, "Okay!"
By the second week in July, not only had I been accepted to BSSM as a first-year student but I found out the day after my interview! Then, to my amazement, a few hours later, I receive the news that my entire first year’s tuition was going to be paid for by an anonymous donor!
The challenges of making this a reality were too many to list but God has been working them out, one detail at a time. I have found a roommate and I have applied for a position within the Nursery at Bethel Church. I have been abundantly and exceedingly blessed beyond what I could ask or imagine but it is still not going to be possible to attend BSSM without support and partnership. Through the course of this year God has been allowing me to learn how to receive and what true humility looks like. What God has now called me to do gives me the opportunity to not only humbly ask you for your prayers and support but to graciously receive it.
Your support will help me in my first year with housing, utilities and food; if I receive more than the amount I need I will be putting the additional funds towards my mission trip at the end of year and my second years tuition. My plan is to support myself through work at the Nursery in Bethel Church and supplement that with donations I raise from your partnership and support. The funds that are donated will help me to do more than just survive, it will help me thrive as I focus solely on the Lord and His destiny for my life.
Please let me know if you have any questions about my schooling or how you can partner with me. Thank you all!

Many Blessings,
Theresa Pastor

HOW YOU CAN PARTNER WITH ME

Financial Support
If you feel led to give financially you can do so one of two ways:
1) Through gofundme.com
2) Through direct deposit using Zelle/Quickpay (see bottom of letter).***
- My goal is to raise funds for my housing (including security deposit), utilities and food.
- If there is a surplus in funds after security deposit, housing, food and utilities have been paid for the funds will be applied towards the missions trip I am required to take as a BSSM first year.

Prayer Support
If you feel led to support through prayer, I would love for you to pray for:
- The continual transformation and maturity of my heart, mind and spirit so that I am able to properly represent God and the freedom through Jesus he offers to us all.
- Protection from the enemy's lies, deception and distractions.
